Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have reportedly made up after a short falling out caused by Blake’s legal issues with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. Sources say Blake apologized to Taylor for unintentionally pulling her into the lawsuit, and the two are now back on good terms.
The conflict started when Baldoni named Taylor Swift in a $400 million defamation countersuit against Lively. He claimed that Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Swift confronted him during a meeting about their movie. In the filing, he even said Lively called herself “Khaleesi” and referred to Swift and Reynolds as her “dragons,” which apparently upset Taylor.
Insiders explained that Swift felt “used,” especially since she didn’t know Baldoni would be there and was shocked when his legal team mentioned possibly calling her as a witness. Though it’s still unclear if she’ll actually be involved in the case, the mention was enough to create distance between the friends.
Thankfully, sources now say Lively apologized and admitted how the situation hurt their friendship. They’ve since worked things out and started talking again.
Earlier this year, fans noticed Blake wasn’t part of Swift’s Super Bowl squad, which raised eyebrows since they were seen together at the game last year. But now it looks like their friendship is back on track.
Meanwhile, the lawsuit between Lively and Baldoni is still ongoing, with Swift listed as a possible witness along with other cast and industry members.
