Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant was recently surprised on stage on his 74th birthday. He was presented a birthday cake by his son Logan Plant on August 20. While Plant was performing with Alison Krauss in Lake Tahoe, Nevada on August 20, his son Logan and Logan’s children, including his granddaughter and grandson, wheeled on a birthday cake and led a crowd singalong of “Happy Birthday”.

Several video clips were shared online that captured the moment that Plant was surprised by the cake as well as yellow and black balloons, the colours of his favourite football club, Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Led Zeppelin legend was completely delighted.
“This is my family,” Plant told the crowd. “They’ve come all the way from England to give me a chocolate microphone!”
“Oh dear, I’m slightly embarrassed,” Plant said after the surprise.

Plant last performed on his birthday back in 2005 when he performed at V Festival in Chelmsford, England on August 20, 2005, his 57th birthday. Robert Plant recently joined in for an interview with LA Times. He talked about Led Zeppelin possibly having a reunion tour.
It was noted during the interview that plenty of fans would love to hear Plant with Led Zeppelin. Here is what Plant said, “Going back to the font to get some kind of massive applause — it doesn’t really satisfy my need to be stimulated.”
He was questioned if that makes him feel like an outlier among your classic-rock peers. Plant replied: “I know there are people from my generation who don’t want to stay home and so they go out and play. If they’re enjoying it and doing what they need to do to pass the days, then that’s their business, really.”
Plant had previously recalled that he was once offered a role in Game of Thrones. However, the former Led Zeppelin singer and current solo artist ultimately turned down the part in the popular HBO fantasy drama TV series that ended in 2019. Plant joked about his reason for declining.
