Rock royalty is here and it looks like there may be some new waves being made in the music industry. That’s right, none other than David Gilmour and Mark Knopfler were seen together in the studio. This could shape up to be something big.
Via Ultimate Guitar, This comes at a time where it was also announced that the surviving members of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones will be joining forces together on The Rolling Stones’ next record. It seems that David and Mark heard about that and wanted to take their own shot at a mega-group.
Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has recently been working at the British Grove Studios, where he’s recording music for a charity project of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
We all saw a photo leak out on the social media of Gilmour together with the epic Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler, who is the very owner of British Grove Studios.
Fans went back and forth for what seemed to be forever about what could be going on between the two. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like anything bad can come out of this situation and only good things will, which is always a plus. Now, when it comes to the question of if they are working together on an upcoming track or album? Well, that’s hard to say.
All we currently know is that the two are together in a room in a studio. Let’s all hope for the best.
