On Twitter, Liam Gallagher made a joke about the price of Blur tickets. The Damon Albarn-fronted Song 2 legends have confirmed an epic reunion show at Wembley Stadium next summer, with tickets going on sale this week, Radio X reports.
When a fan contacted the former Oasis frontman to say she’d gotten a presale ticket to their London show, Liam retorted, “How much they cost a grand.” Blur will perform their only UK show of the year on Saturday, July 8, 2023, with special guests Slowthai and Self Esteem.

“We really love playing these songs and thought it was about time we did it again,” frontman Damon Albarn said of the news. “I’m really looking forward to playing with my Blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs,” guitarist Graham Coxon said. Blur live shows are always amazing for me: a nice guitar, a loud amp, and a lot of smiling faces.”
Meanwhile, bassist Alex James stated, “There’s always something really special when the four of us get in a room.” It’s exciting to think that on July 8, that room will be transformed into Wembley Stadium.”
“After the chaos of the last few years, it’s great to get back out to play some songs together on a summer’s day in London,” drummer Dave Rowntree said. The year 2023 appears to be the return of the great Britpop band, with not only Blur but also Pulp reuniting for a string of live dates the following year.
Fans hoping for Oasis to follow suit will be disappointed, as Noel Gallagher believes there is “no point.” When asked if the Manchester band would reunite on Pub Talk, Noel replied, “Would you go on vacation with your ex-missus?”
He went on: “As funny as this sounds. Oasis sells as many records now per year as we did when we were together. We’re as popular now in the eyes of the people as we ever were. And I’m happy with it.”
