We may have just gotten some kind of confirmation that Liam Gallagher will be playing at Glastonbury 2023. Now, I have to warn you, this is a bit of a stretch, so bear with me here for a bit.
As reported by Radio X – Recently, Liam Gallagher has suggested he’s set to perform at Glastonbury 2023, at least, that’s how many are reading into it. There’s good news and bad news with this.
Liam dropped the hint after a fan quizzed him on Twitter if he’d be watching recently announced headliners, Arctic Monkeys, this year.
Liam would say: “I only go Glastonbury if I play it thems the rules so yeah”.
Fans flooded the comments. One asked: “So your playing my first glasto then mate?”
Now, let’s take a step back and look at Liam’s reply. Upon first look, it seems that, yes, he will be playing Glastonbury. However, this is where you might want to scroll along.
Liam speaks like this often and usually, he’s not always the best with any kind of punctuation. Who really is on social media?
If we look deeper, it seems like Liam is just making a statement rather than saying yes to being at Glastonbury. If we add some proper punctuation, it reads: “I only go to Glastonbury if I play it. Thems the rules, so, yeah…” Now, looking at that, it just more of a matter-of-fact than saying if the lineup has him on it.
No shade at all to those who are hoping for the best, but let’s take a bit of a breath before going head over heels with this.
