The former co-lead of the 90’s hit band, Oasis, had reared his confrontational head once again. Amidst, what is undoubtedly, a sad divorce from long-term wife, Noel took some time out this week to slam Jamie Carragher for butchering one of his and his brother’s former band’s songs.
As per The Daily Star, Noel Gallagher verbally attacked Jamie Carragher for absolutely destroying their hit track “Don’t Look Back in Anger”. This remark came after Jamie attempted to perform the song via karaoke.
Gallagher joined Carragher and the rest of the CBS panel after Manchester City’s 7-0 win against RB Leipzig having been in the Eithad stands to watch his beloved side progress to the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday (March 14) night.
As he was giving punditry a go, Micah Richards felt it was only right his colleague showed off his version of the iconic Oasis hit. Liverpool legend Carragher duly broke into song – with Gallagher quickly regretting his decision.
He joked: “Thanks for joining us, we have to go now. It’s been great. I’m sorry about that. That noise you will have heard was a cat being strangled.”
While Thierry Henry looked on in stunned silence, Gallagher added: “I have to say, that song is virtually un-murderable… until today.”
