Guns ‘N Roses and Morrissey are set to return to the homeland this summer. Details have not been completely finalized, however, the word is out that both bands will be on-hand and return to rock and roll the nation. This comes at a time when tensions are as high as they’ve always been. Axl and the gang plan to embark upon a quest and sing till their hearts content in the homeland.
As per Times of Israel, Guns N’ Roses is returning to Israel this summer, playing Tel Aviv’s Park Hayarkon on June 5, if you believe Yedioth Ahronoth’s Raz Shechnik.
The media and music correspondent broke the news via Twitter on Sunday, writing that the contract had been signed, and reminding followers that in 2017, Guns ‘N Roses performed one of the longest concerts in Israeli history, a three-hour-long show to a crowd of more than 60,000.
The band does have one confirmed show this summer, in London’s Hyde Park on June 30, and some other hints have led fans to believe that they will perform at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival, which takes place June 21-25.
According to Channel 12, Britain’s Morrissey is also returning to Israel this summer, with plans to perform three shows.
It would be the British singer’s fourth time in Israel — not all that surprising, given how much he loves the country and likes to publicly profess his adoration.
Morrissey last performed here in 2016 and had plans for a 2020 concert that were canceled due to the pandemic.
Now that the pandemic is reportedly a thing of the not so troubling past, it’s time for bands like Guns and Morrissey to get back out there and sing, sing, sing.
