Meghan Markle is getting a lot of tweets going out about her as many believe that she has just thrown some very horrible shade and words at South Africa.
Meghan Markle almost lost her child in a very horrifying incident, as she revealed on her podcast with Serena Williams, where the heater caught fire in a residence in which they were staying. Luckily, the child and everyone else at the residence were okay.
One Twitter post showed photos of a possibility of where Meghan Markle and family stayed while over in South Africa. The post was shared by many as another poster quote tweeted the photos and said: “Meghan Markle taking a potshot at South Africa’s hospitality is in bad taste. Guessing South Africa will now understand why Britain has such a poor opinion of Meghan Markle! Meghan has a habit of insulting every country she visits, as Australia knows all too well. #Archetypes”
The poster believes that Meghan Markle not only leaves a bad mark on anywhere she visits, but also seems to want to push a certain agenda that South Africa is extremely third world. Of course, South Africa is not truly the way that Markle is said to seemingly want to paint it.
With this, another Twitter user stated: “So Meghan Markle claims that her boy could have burned to death in a “housing unit” while in the care of a Zimbabwean nanny? True or not, am picking up a nasty colonial trope there, guys i.e. Leave the rich kid with the African servants and look what happens….”
When we boil it down, Meghan Markle never spoke down on anyone given the situation with her child. When she did speak on the story, she had stated that her and the family love the nanny very much and also trust her. Unfortunately, word is getting very misconstrued.
It was stated by Markle when re-telling the story: “And so we’re in the car. We had just landed, what, an hour or 2 hours before racing back? We get back…Our amazing nanny, Lauren, who we’d had all the way until, in Canada here…Lauren in floods of tears. She was supposed to put Archie down for his nap and she just said, ‘You know what? Let me just go get a snack downstairs.’ And she was from Zimbabwe and we loved that she would always tie him on her, her back with a mud cloth, and her instinct was like, Let me just bring him with me before I put him down.”
