Just when everyone thought that maybe, just maybe, Oasis would be making a huge comeback; we may have that now put on hold as Liam Gallagher has taken to Twitter to talk about his distain for Noel Gallagher’s new album.
This all started via a Twitter thread where fans tweeted at Liam asking if he had yet heard Noel’s new album. Liam really didn’t have too much to say at first other than “Yeah.”
After this, fans kept gouging him for more of an answer. Sadly, fans never really got that directly other than a comment that Liam had left which said “nonsense,” but the reply could have been to someone saying that the album of the other Gallagher brother should’ve been named something else.
On the good news side of the brothers, Noel Gallagher says a particularly memorable early Oasis rehearsal set him on his way to songwriting success. At the same time, however, he’s comfortable with knowing he isn’t as good a writer as some people believe him to be – arguing that it’s a healthy attitude.
Via UCR, He said: “I was just sitting, playing guitar. I remember our kid saying, ‘Well, let’s do one of yours. What have you got? You’ve got tunes anyway.’ So I was like, ‘Okay, well, if I play that, you play this, you do that beat.’ Then, at that moment, an explosion went off, because when you hear your own songs for the first time being played by other people, it’s like, ‘Oh, wow!’”
His approach to writing perhaps inevitably changed in the aftermath of Oasis’ collapse, since he “felt more weight” when he was creating hits for the band that split in 2009.
