Liam Gallagher has publicly stated that he will not be attending British comedian, Peter Kay’s, new UK tour because, “he’s a balloon knot” – whatever that means. You Brits and your slang words…
Liam Gallagher, the former singer of the 90’s hit group, Oasis, said he’s not going to watch Peter Kay, on the comedian’s long awaited comeback tour slated to begin next month, Independent.ie reports.
Greater Manchester, and the majority of the UK for that matter, spiraled out of control late Sunday night when the legendary Bolton-born comedian Peter Kay announced that he will put on two Manchester shows next month as he makes his epic return to live comedy after a 12 year hiatus!
Rumors began that Kay was prepping for a 2023 comeback tour in early 2022, but it was officially revealed that he will be doing two shows at the AO Arena on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 December 2022.
The comic will then head to Birmingham and close out 2022.
Tickets for Kay’s tour go on sale this Saturday, and there’s no denying that they’re going to be some of the most difficult tickets to secure in recent years – especially considering Kay has announced prices will start from £35 to be as he calls, budget-friendly amid the rising cost of living across England and Europe. Fortunately, fans won’t have to compete with Liam Gallagher for tickets, as he’s said he’s not going to bother showing his face.
Liam confirmed on Twitter that he doesn’t intend to catch the comedian on tour, saying in response to a fan who questioned: “Morning Liam. Are you gonna go see Peter Kay on his tour?” Liam responded, “F*** him the balloon knot”. In response to another fan who questioned why, Liam said: “He started crying coz I threw a microphone in the crowd like big tart then slagged me off when I’m in my car. Anyways regardless of all that, he’s not even funny.”
There, take that and party Peter Kay. Your tour will not be endorsed by one of England’s greatest band’s lead singers.
