Former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has reportedly ‘purchased Noel Edmond’s six-bedroom French Chateau’ after the presenter put the property on the market for £4million. The singer is said to have snapped up the 18th-century villa in Grasse, near Cannes on the scenic Riviera.
According to the report, the house features engravings of Noel’s name, which Liam finds ‘quite funny’ considering his tiff with his brother, who shares the same name.
Deal Or No Deal star Noel, 74, first put the property on sale in 2017 for £3million, increasing the asking price to £4million a year later. A source told The Sun: ‘
”Liam’s been telling mates, ‘I’ve bought Mr Blobby’s house. Him and Debbie plan to put their own stamp on it.”
They added:
”They think all the carvings of Noel’s name are quite funny and ironic.”
The mansion is called the Perfumed Garden and it is spread across three floors and comes with a swimming pool and glorious views of the surrounding vineyards. A grand private driveway loops around olive trees to reveal the stunning stone house, decked out in traditional French style with blue shutters and a patio.
The sprawling six-bedroom manor – was said to be the ‘home the Noel adores’ and is half hour drive from Cannes. The presenter put the grand estate on the market for £2.97million in 2017 – which would have converted to 3.86m euro at the time – after moving into a luxury apartment in Monaco.
