Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is likely to join the champagne supernova set in the Cotswolds. The singer has been spotted looking around a historic 15th century townhouse in the celebrity enclave which already boasts residents such as David and Victoria Beckham and Jeremy Clarkson.
Liam Gallagher might be house hunting
Liam seemed very keen on the Grade II-listed 15th century property which is on the market for £3.5 million. With five bedrooms, three bathrooms and an extensive garden, if he does move in he will have plenty of room for his large family to live quietly or party.
And he would be surrounded by stars such as Kate Moss, who once partied with him, at his Primrose Hill home called Supernova Heights. Many who were part of the Britpop days now live quietly in a big house in the country.
The only problem is the move could spell trouble as Blur rival Alex James lives nearby. Oasis and Blur were sworn enemies back in the day when they competed for the cool crown.
But these days the former Manchester hellraiser needs a double hip replacement because of arthritis so he’s more likely to be taking countryside strolls on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border with his fiancée Debbie Gwythe than aiming pot shots at other ageing rock stars. This week he cancelled a concert in the Abu Dhabi beach festival Club Social blaming health reasons.
According to the Daily Star the property he was looking at is situated just off the town square in Chipping Norton but can command privacy because it has an ample garden and a Roman style pool Celebrity holiday attraction the Soho Farmhouse is nearby..
One resident who spotted him told MailOnline gossip columnist Richard Eden:
“I thought he looked familiar but it wasn’t until my husband got home that he told me the Oasis singer was looking round one of the local houses. There are certainly a lot of famous faces around here and I wonder if he might be the next one because he seemed keen on what he was being shown.”
