The former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher recently reached Ireland and immediately went for a pint of Guinness ahead of his show in the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham on August 27.
Liam Gallagher enjoys drink before show
But before that he was determined to make sure to enjoy some of the Irish capital’s favourite tipples.
Just after touching down, he tweeted: “GUINNESS.” He tweeted he had multiple drinks, as there’s ‘no such thing as one.’ He also said Noel is a ‘lightweight’ drinking. He also suggested he was having more than 10 drinks and ‘raging,’ though it may have been after the concert. He also suggested Noel will ban Oasis songs from the Knebworth documentary. He said, “He ain’t got the balls.”
The Manchester legend is no stranger to these shores and has often been seen enjoying pints in various Dublin pubs. He also often heads to the west of Ireland to his mother’s hometown Charlestown, Co Mayo.
Tomorrow’s night gig will be a long awaited return to Dublin for the superstar. Fans can look forward to the front-man belting some of his own hits, along with a stream of Oasis classics such as Live Forever, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova.
Fans of 90s rock are delighted to know that he will be joined at the show by support act, the Charlatans. Liam has said he can’t wait for his Irish concert: “I’m absolutely buzzing to announce that on 27th August 2022 I’ll be playing Royal Hospital Kilmainham. It’s gonna be biblical. C’mon You Know. LG x
Very limited tickets are still on stage for the show and they are available from Ticketmaster. Meanwhile, the concert chiefs have warned thousands of eager fans heading to Gallagher’s Dublin gig that no early queuing will be allowed.
Concert bosses said: “If patrons do turn up they will be turned away at restricted area points around the Venue.
“Queuing in streets around the Venue will cause disruption to local residents and we appeal to patrons to heed this advice and respect the community living in the vicinity of the Venue.”
There will also be strict security checks performed before fans can rock out to some of their favorite Liam Gallagher tunes. Backpacks and large handbags have been strictly banned from the venue and there will be no storage facilities provided on site.
