The story of Liam and Noel Gallagher is one that just never gets old. The two brothers have been going back and forth for years and it seems like they still are. We have seen all of this before, but in between all of this, we really thought that maybe, just maybe, the duo would get back together to re-form with Oasis for one last shot at a few gigs, which, would easily sell out.
While it wouldn’t make sense to go all the way back in this feud, let’s talk about the point when we truly thought that the two could get back on the mend and play a few shows with one another. Noel and his wife separated, which got some sympathy from Liam. This was step one. Then, it was reported that the brother’s mom spoke to Liam on her birthday and asked Liam to patch things up between the two. That was step two.
The final step seemed like it could have been recently when Liam went in for hip surgery. One would imagine that something like this, if not the mother, could put things into perspective. Sadly, it did not. Liam is still after Noel on Twitter, of course, egged on by commentors.
Liam was recently asked what he would do if Noel asked him to open for him at a concert. Liam, without hesitation, stated that he would blow him off the stage. Here we are again to wonder why we ever believe that this band could ever flourish again. He did say that Noel isn’t stupid though, so, baby steps?
