Today, Jarvis Cocker announced the release of an EP of new music composed especially for the upcoming TV series, “Likely Stories”. The Sky Arts series, which airs next Thursday, May 26, is the work of directors Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (who directed the excellent Nick Cave documentary 20,000 Days On Earth) and is based on four short stories by dark fantasy author Neil Gaiman. Jarvis cheekily describes the project as ‘Four grubby tales set in all night cafes, low rent drinking dens and doctor’s surgeries. I didn’t have to leave my comfort zone for this assignment.’

From today, the “Likely Stories” EP is available to buy on 7″, and the opening track “Theme From Likely Stories” is available to stream and buy digitally. The full EP will be available to stream and buy digitally on May 27. If you’re interested in purchasing or streaming, here is an array of links to buy (physical and digital copies), as well as stream on Spotify and Apple Music.
