Blur frontman Damon Albarn recently got emotional onstage, with many speculating his tears were due to his split from partner of 25 years, Suzi Winstanley. The couple, who share 23-year-old daughter Missy, have reportedly gone their separate ways.
It has come to light via Daily Mail that Suzi Winstanley was seen for the first time since split from Blur frontman Damon Albarn after 25 years together. The mother-of-one, 55, put on a brave face as she head out shopping in Notting Hill Gate on Tuesday. She cut a casual figure in a khaki jacket and camouflaged trousers, teamed with white Adidas trainers.
Despite trying hard to save their relationship, the painter is said to have ended it several months ago.
Sources close to the couple say that it was ‘kept a bit secret’ and only those who had to know were told.
It can also be revealed that they struggled with the Blur frontman’s travelling schedule and his insistence that he spent much of his time at their Devon home where he has converted some of the space into a recording studio.
MailOnline reported that one friend said:
‘Suzi was so heartbroken that she hardly told anyone. She really, really tried but the relationship just could not be saved. It has been so sad for her, I suppose once you share news like that around it makes it all very final.’
Suzi was said to be so heartbroken that she has been unable to listen to Albarn’s latest album, The Ballad of Darren, which is currently number one in the charts.
