Blur, the 1990’s UK Britpop sensation are back on tour. Today, they are announcing that Paul Weller among others are in support for a second Wembley show performance. The popularity of other shows have proven successful and so this shouldn’t take much. But then again – you never know in the big wide world of money making.
According to NME, Blur, 90’s UK smash hit pop band, have announced the support acts for their second show at Wembley Stadium this summer, 2023.
The Britpop icons are due to play two major concerts at the London venue on July 8 and 9 of the year of our Lord, 2023 as part of their live reunion. At the first gig, Damon Albarn and company will be joined by special guests Slowthai, Self Esteem, and Jockstrap (not a literal Jockstrap of course. That would be odd and revolting.
Today (February 22), it’s been confirmed that music notable, Mr. Paul Weller will open for Blur at Wembley the following evening. Two-tone ska outfit The Selector, not the “boom selecta” – which was another 1990’s hit among the young folks, are also set to perform at this mega show following a DJ set from six-time world snooker champion Steve Davis.
