Former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher never shies away from sharing his views when it comes to the music industry. And Gallagher has finally revealed the true reason behind his feud with Adele, after labelling her ‘f*****g awful’ and ‘offensive’. The singer, 56, revealed it all began after the Hello singer reached out to him wanting to meet up.
Despite receiving the friendly invitation, the Oasis star was not impressed, he admitted, since it did not come from Adele herself.
During a discussion on the Matt Morgan podcast via Daily Mail, he insisted he had never started a row with the singer, which led to him coming clean about his drama with her.
Noel said:
‘I don’t think I have ever gone out of my way to start anything, it’s always been a reaction to some f***ing idiot having a go in the first place.
‘You know me, I keep myself to myself.’
When reminded about his remarks about Adele, and how she had never bad-mouthed him, he continued:
‘No, but she sent someone over to f***ing ask, “Did I want to meet her?”. That’s what riled me.
‘I’m not one for causing a scene, I just stick it in the vault and just think revenge is a dish best served cold.’
Gallagher has recently talked about his early days with the guitar during an interview with Gibson TV where he shed some light into the first steps he took early into his career. Noel recalled Oasis’ first gig and how unprepared he was, saying only 24 hours before the show did he realize that he’d never “played guitar standing up”.
