Adele barely made it through the first night of her Vegas residency, constantly breaking down in tears and admitting she was terrified to face the stage. The Caesars Palace Colosseum was crowded Friday night, despite Adele’s admission that she was “so afraid and nervous.”
As for why… as you may be aware, the residency was canceled at the last minute in January due to production issues and COVID concerns. She was chastised for the cancellation, and a relaunch appeared unlikely. With what transpired during this situation, it was a better off condition to stay silent.
According to TMZ, Adele gave a wonderful speech at the event which was lauded by everyone around her and it made her feel great. She even responded about it in her speech, and it looked like a victory situation for Adele at the event.
I should be giving you a standing ovation. Thank you very much for responding. It means a lot to me. You look fantastic, and it’s just what I envisioned; it’s wonderful.

She continued… I’m terrified and worried, but I’m also overjoyed. I’m not sure what I was thinking by having piano ballads at the start of the performance… perhaps my nervousness will fade with time. I’d also like to thank Caesar’s since there have been a lot of speculations and they never once asked any questions; they’ve been incredible.
