‘Ruby’: Kula Shaker vs. Kaiser Chiefs

If there’s one thing rock stars can confirm, it’s that any girl named Ruby is nothing but trouble. Kula Shaker and the Kaiser Chiefs are just two British bands who serenaded mischievous Rubies. But, which of these jewels is more sparkly?

Kula Shaker

‘Ruby’ has to be one of the hidden Kula Shaker gems. This dash of 1960’s-style Mercybeat has a timeless quality. It’s from their fourth album, 2010’s Pilgrims Progress.

Kaiser Chiefs

Leeds-based Kaiser Chief released their sophomore album, Yours Truly, Angry Mob, in 2007. ‘Ruby’ was the lead single off the album, and it was a UK #1. This very video won Q magazine’s ‘Q Award’ for best video.
