Friday Flashback: Tattva by Kula Shaker

In high school, I went through a phase where I was influenced by Indian culture, Hinduism, and — of course — psychedelic rock. Naturally, Kula Shaker fit in perfectly with my identity crisis. The band’s 1996 debut K deeply impacted me, and it still stands as one of my favorite Britpop (or post-Britpop, if you like) albums to date. “Tattva” has that perfect mix of Beatlesesque psychedelia, killer guitar riffs, and swirly mysticism.
