Obviously you know who this band is. There’s really no introduction needed. However for the sake of thoroughness: Arctic Monkeys are an English indie rock band and have released 15 singles.
If you were really into their first release as most of us were but have fallen off since then well this might work for you. We decided to look back at their releases and give some insight into those songs.
I Bet You Look Good On the Dancefloor
Arctic Monkey’s first single, “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor,” was an unexpected explosion on the Britpop scene. At the time, the genre was in something of a remission (the Libertines let us down, and American indie rock was creeping into the mainstream), leaving a gaping hole for fans of authentically British rock music. With this song, the Monkeys blew up the airwaves and were declared the generation’s most important band yet. This song’s got neo-punky guitars, overplayed drums, and Alex Turner’s classic cheeky lyrics, and can be fondly remembered as the song that launched a Britpop revival.
